It’s rewarding to bring our clients to the next level and I truly enjoy the relationships I have with our clients. I have worked with some of our clients since the very beginning, that’s 26 years!

A man with a strong work ethic and many laughs, Bruce Summers has owned WorldWide Computer Solutions since its inception in 1993. Bruce lives in Troy with his wife, Sherri, and their dog, Bailey. When not managing companies' IT infrastructures he spends his free time riding his motorcycle and playing hockey.

Why are you in this business? Because it’s rewarding to bring our clients to the next level and I truly enjoy the relationships I have with our clients. I have worked with some of our clients since the very beginning, that’s 26 years!

How did you get started? After graduating from UNH in 1986 with Mathematics and Computer Science degrees, I worked with a couple of different IT businesses in New England. From there I wanted to branch out on my own and started this business in 1993 on the corner of Pearl and West Streets in Keene.

Is there a moment/memory that stands out to you in your many years here? Back in the day, when things were different, the entire company would play poker and partake in a few adult beverages late on Friday afternoons. Those were the days!

What was the last thing you really geeked out about? I love not having a phone at my desk anymore! Our earpieces are integrated with Office 365 so technically I don’t even need to be at the office to work. We have been setting clients up with Office 365 as well and they have embraced it as much as we have.

Tell us about a time you had a measurable impact on a job or organization? Some years back I was trying to get a client set up with a firewall for security reasons. I had been trying to sell this to them for well over a year when their entire email system became seriously compromised. We had to work night and day for a whole weekend directly with Microsoft to recover their emails, and guess what? They purchased a firewall first thing Monday morning.

Finally, is this Tom Brady’s last year with the Pats or what? Nah, he will be back for at least two more seasons. Don’t listen to the news! There’s no way he’d switch to another team or quit at this point.
